Born in 1956, Scott Gustafson is an American illustrator renowned for his classic, poetic style, often compared to the great illustrators of the 19th century. Based in Chicago, he has spent over 25 years illustrating numerous children's books, including classics such as Santa Claus, Peter Pan and Fairy Tales. After studying animation, Scott Gustafson quickly turned to illustration, a field he found freer and more creative. His style, both realistic and dreamlike, quickly won over a wide audience. Scott Gustafson's work has won numerous awards. His Classic Fairy Tales won the prestigious Chesley Award.
